From the producers of the Wilmington Theater Award-winning hit show Bachelorette, Pineapple-Shaped Lamps is proud to present their newest stage production, Cannibal! The Musical, from the mind of Trey Parker, the Emmy and Tony Award-winning co-creator of South Park and The Book of Mormon!
Based on true events, Cannibal! The Musical follow the story of Alfred Packer (Patrick Basquill), a well-meaning buffoon, as he haphazardly leads a crew of zany and inept miners through treacherous Colorado Territory. Along the way, Packer and his crew clash with the hardships of the untamed west, wacky inhabitants of the territory, and an intimidating and oddball rival gang led by the notorious Frenchy Cabazon (Ashley Strand). Though the journey is long and difficult, Packer is continually motivated to carry on thanks to his favorite companion, and the love of his life: his horse, Leanne.
Trey Parker has been a leading voice in subversive and envelope-pushing comedy for over 20 years. Parker is best known as the co-creator of the iconic multiple Emmy Award winning South Park, and the co-book writer and score composer for the 9-time Tony Award winning Book of Mormon. Prior to his raise in popularity, Parker, at the age of 24, wrote, directed and starred in his first musical, Cannibal! The Musical. Parker’s voice is one of the most influential and controversial in modern day comedy, and his his zany and cutting brand of comedy is highlighted in this bostrious musical.

Originally produced in the theater company’s early years, PSL looks to honor their first full-length musical while using their six additional years of experience to create their most ambitious and entertaining show to date.
